Tri-M is the international honor society recognizing secondary music students for their musical ability, academic excellence, school involvement, and community service.
Greetings from the Tri-M Music Honor Societies of Maine.
There are 16 active chapters of the Tri-M Music Honor Society in the State of Maine for the 2010-2011 school year.
Tri-M is a great way to unite all music students within your school toward a common goal. Much like the National Honor Society, Tri-M strives to provide community service. Music is a powerful vehicle for sharing in the community and a wonderful way to showcase the talents of your students. In addition to local recognition, all students who are members of an active Tri-M Chapter are recognized at the state level at the Maine Music Educators All-State Festivals.
To learn more about activating a Tri-M Chapter in your school, contact Alice Sullivan, State Tri-M Chair, at acbsnow@yahoo.com. It’s a fabulous way to give that little extra recognition to your most deserving musicians.
