Attention Directors: New Policy for All-State BOC Festival Concert Attire
Be sure to visit the All State BOC Festival page (State Events) for the new policy for festival concert attire! Directors from each school will be held responsible for ensuring their students come prepared with correct clothing.
Maine Jazz All-State Festival
The 2012 Maine Jazz All-State Festival is January 5-7 at Scarborough High School. The concert is open to the public and begins at 2 p.m. in Winslow Homer Auditorium at Scarborough High School. Tickets will be sold at the door: $5 for general seating.
General Music Fall Conference
Mark your calendars for this year's General Music Workshop sponsored by
the Maine Music Educators Association with the Maine Chapter of the
American Orff-Schulwerk Association. "A Fall Sharing Session" will be
held Saturday, October 22 at the Windham Primary School.
Come share your favorite tried and true lessons, organizational
ideas, technological successes, favorite program materials, and
assessment tools with others and learn what works in your colleagues’
classrooms. This workshop will be interactive and you will leave with a
packet of materials for all grade levels!
Registration begins at 8:15, sessions run from 9-2:00. Cost is FREE! Please bring a dish to share for a potluck lunch.

Workshop Proposal Form
Nancy Cash-Cobb, In-Service Conference Chair, is accepting workshop proposals for the 2012 MMEA In-Service Conference being held at the University of Maine, Orono, on May 17 & 18. Forms are available on the All-State In-Service Conference page (under State Events). Proposals are due before November 15.
